I had a checkup today and had sonos. We did the head measurements, the thigh bone measurements, the tummy measurements, and then it calculated the weight. From the beginning, I have been hoping that I would have a normal sized baby. Apparently, that's just not in the cards for us - we are cursed with large babies (but a girl can dream, can't she).
As of today, per the measurements, mystery baby's head is reading off the charts (as did Kayden's and that was a reality when he came out.... and to this day is still quite large). The baby is at a development stage equal to that of a 39 week to full term baby (or more - some measurements got up to 42 weeks). As of now, the baby is weighing in at a whopping 8lbs 10ozs.
Given all the facts we have now, I guess we're at a 10lb baby....again. If I'm lucky, maybe we'll have a 9lb'er. Only time will tell - 2 more weeks, to be exact.
Holy cow! I cannot imagine you carrying a ten pound baby (but it sounds like it's happened before). I suppose that's where the C-section comes in handy. Good luck. I'm glad the end is in sight!
